When a customer purchases a product, certain information is required in order to process the transaction and receive payment from the customer. Using the Registration Fields Options screen, it is possible to define the information entered by the user when they make a purchase from your shop.

If your shop has PayPal enabled, certain fields are mandatory to process a payment, the following fields are listed below:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • E-mail Address
  • Address Field 1
  • Address Field 2
  • City
  • County
  • Postcode
  • Phone Number

If PayPal is enabled, you may include additional fields for your customer to enter information as you see fit. If PayPal is not enabled for your shop, these fields are not required and you can have as many or as little of them as you wish.

Add New Field

To add a new field, click Add New Field from the Registration Field options. You will then be prompted to enter the name of the field you wish to create. After doing this, select the field that you have just created and set its Mark and Type.

You can mark the field as being Required or Not Required by selecting the available option from the Mark As option. By default fields are marked as not required so the available Mark As option would be Required.

For the field's type, you have a choice between:

  • Text Box - A single line text area
  • Text Area - A multi line text area
  • Check Box - A box for that is checked in agreement or otherwise left blank

Rename Field

To rename a field, click on the field you wish to rename and click Rename Field. You will then be asked to enter a new name for the field, upon entering the new name, it will appear in the list of created fields.

Delete Field

To rename a field, click on the field you want to rename and click Delete Field. The field deleted will no longer appear in the list of created fields.

Move Up

This option allows you to move a field up in the list of information fields the customer views at checkout. To move a field up a place, select it and select Move Up from the Registration Field options. The field you selected will automatically be moved up in the list of fields.

Move Down

This option allows you to move a field down in the list of information fields the customer sees at checkout. To move a field down a place, select it and select Move Down from the Registration Field options. The field you selected will automatically be moved down in the list of fields.
