The Menu Items menu screen allows you to add menu items to your online store. This menu could be used to direct your visitors to specific sections of your site such as special offers or contact details. After creating a menu item you can attach specific content to that item using the Link to menu option.

This option allows you to add an item to the menu of your store. Select Add New Menu Item, you will be prompted to name the newly created item. Once you have done this, the item will be displayed in the list of created menu items and as a menu item in your store.

This option allows you to rename any menu items you have already created. To change the name of an item, select the item you want to change (with your cursor) and select Rename Menu Item from the menu options. After entering the new name of the menu item when prompted, the name of the menu item will change.

This option allows you to delete any menu items that are no longer required. To delete an item, select the item and select Delete Menu Item from the menu options. You will then be asked if you are sure of the deletion you are about to make. Upon selecting ‘yes’, the item you selected for deletion will no longer be displayed in the list of your created menu items.

This option allows you to move a menu item up in the menu. To move an item up a place, select the item and select Move Up from the menu options. The item you selected will automatically be moved up in the list of menu items.

This option allows you to move a menu item down in the menu. To move an item down a place, select the item and select Move Down from the menu options. The item you selected will automatically be moved down in the list of menu items.

Once you have created content for your store, you can link the content to a menu item using the Link To menu option. To link content to a particular menu item, select the menu item and then select the content you wish to link it to from the drop down menu:

Once you have selected the correct content, click on the ‘Save’ button. The name of the attached content will then be displayed to the right of the menu item on the menu item list.
